Assistant Safety Officer

About the role

The Assistant Safety Officer supports the Head of Safety in maintaining a safe environment aboard the iconic QE2 floating hotel in Dubai. This role ensures compliance with occupational health and safety standards while protecting guests, staff, and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess hazardous situations and develop safety measures.
• Facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines.
• Assist in risk assessments and enforce preventative actions.
• Organise OHS training for employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and work practices to identify non‑conformities.
• Stop unsafe acts, record incidents, investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Understand and support the operation of electrical, refrigeration, and fire‑fighting systems.
• Communicate safety information across departments and assist during emergencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in a hotel environment (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
