Assistant Vice President – Asset Management (Retail)

About the role

The Assistant Vice President will support the execution of Aldar's retail management strategy by analysing financials, managing P&L statements and driving asset acquisitions, disposals and transformations. The role works closely with internal teams and Retail GMs to optimise asset performance and identify growth opportunities. This position is open exclusively to UAE nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of retail management strategy, prepare detailed P&L statements and consolidate financials for asset managers.
• Conduct market studies, coordinate acquisitions and manage integration of newly acquired retail assets.
• Analyze under‑performing assets (IRR, ROI, ROE) and recommend disposals or transformations.
• Monitor P&L of assigned retail assets, ensuring financial targets are met through rent pricing, tenant mix and operational strategies.
• Build business cases for asset transformations and advise on rent rolls, pricing and community mall operations.
• Identify investment opportunities, coordinate with Retail GMs to optimise performance and track monthly operational and financial targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing retail asset properties with annual revenue exceeding AED 1 billion.
• Proven experience in retail management of malls and community retail within the GCC real‑estate market.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or economics.

Required skills

• Strong analytical abilities and financial modelling.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict‑resolution and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with major Middle‑East regional retailers.
