Assistant Vice President Asset Management (Retail)

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Asset Management (Retail) supports the execution of Aldar's retail management strategy. The role involves financial analysis, P&L management, and driving asset acquisitions, disposals, and transformations across the UAE portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed P&L statements, consolidate financials and present them to asset managers.
• Conduct market studies, coordinate acquisitions and manage integration of newly acquired assets.
• Analyze under‑performing assets (IRR, ROI, ROE) and recommend disposals or transformations.
• Monitor P&L for assigned retail assets, ensuring financial targets are met through rent pricing and tenant‑mix strategies.
• Build business cases for asset transformations and advise on rent rolls, pricing and operations for community malls.
• Identify investment opportunities, track monthly operational and financial targets, and provide insights on cross‑retail strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing retail asset properties with annual revenue exceeding AED 1 bn.
• Strong exposure to the GCC real estate market and experience in property management and remedial auctions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or economics.
• UAE national citizenship is mandatory.
