Assistant Vice President – Trade Operations Manager

About the role

The incumbent will lead end‑to‑end management of export trade operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies, SOPs and ICC guidelines. The role supports multiple business segments across the bank and drives risk‑controlled trade finance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and consultation to commercial customers on export finance, letters of credit, collections and risk participation.
• Ensure all trade finance procedures comply with bank policies, ICC publications and local regulations.
• Review customer complaints, take corrective actions and meet SLA targets.
• Perform sanction checks, handle commodity trade documents and maintain daily reconciliations.
• Lead team huddles, cross‑skill team members on additional products and drive automation projects.

Required profile

• Graduate degree with in‑depth knowledge of trade finance products.
• CDCS, CITF or CTFP certification.
• 15–18 years of experience in trade finance, preferably in a banking environment.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational abilities.
