Assistant/Associate Professor – Electrical Engineering

About the role

The Department of Electrical Engineering at Khalifa University seeks to appoint faculty members at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. Key responsibilities

• Conduct original, high‑impact research aligned with national and global priorities such as energy transition and intelligent infrastructure.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop new curricula in core electrical‑engineering subjects.
• Advise, mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
• Participate in academic service, professional committees and community outreach.
• Engage in innovation, technology translation and collaborative projects with industry and government partners.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• For Assistant Professor: demonstrated research potential and commitment to high‑quality teaching.
• For Associate/Professor: established international research reputation, sustained high‑impact publications and a record of attracting external funding.
• Preference for candidates with experience at internationally recognised universities and a commitment to diversity and excellence.
