Assistant/Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry

About the role

The United Arab Emirates University seeks an innovative scholar to join its Department of Chemistry as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry. The successful candidate will lead undergraduate and graduate teaching, mentor research students, and develop a funded research program aligned with the department’s strengths.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and develop courses in analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, separation techniques, electrochemistry and spectrometry.
• Supervise graduate research projects and theses, providing academic counseling and tutoring.
• Design and implement assessment tools to enhance student performance.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, securing external funding.
• Participate in departmental, college and university service activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years of higher‑education teaching experience.
• Strong record of publications in Scopus‑indexed, Q1 journals.
• Demonstrated ability to use data‑analysis tools and software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
