Assistant/Associate Professor of Renal Nursing

About the role

The university seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor to lead teaching and research in renal nursing. The role combines high‑quality instruction, clinical supervision, curriculum development, and scholarly activity within the nursing faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in renal nursing, nephrology, and dialysis care.
• Supervise student clinical practice in renal units, dialysis centres, and simulation labs.
• Design, update, and align course materials with current clinical standards and academic requirements.
• Employ innovative, student‑centred teaching methods, including e‑learning platforms, LMS, simulation, and AI tools.
• Guide students during clinical placements, ensuring safe practice and integration of theory into decision‑making.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation, and quality‑assurance activities.
• Initiate or contribute to research projects on renal nursing, patient safety, and care quality, publish findings, and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to secure external research funding where applicable.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and serve on departmental committees.

Required profile

• PhD or Doctorate in Renal Nursing or a related field (preferred or in progress).
• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in renal/nephrology nursing preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and clinical training.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment; English required, Arabic preferred.
