Associate / Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering

About the role

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Ajman University is seeking a full‑time Associate or Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering to begin in the Spring semester 2026/2027. Candidates must demonstrate a distinguished research record and a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate Computer Engineering courses.
• Adopt innovative, technology‑based teaching approaches.
• Publish high‑quality research in internationally recognized journals.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
• Promote a respectful, culturally sensitive learning environment.
• Provide consultancy services to researchers and industry partners.
• Motivate and support students and colleagues to achieve personal growth.
• Maintain constructive relationships with students to facilitate learning.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from a reputable university.
• Outstanding teaching record in computer engineering subjects such as Programming, Computer Organization, Networks, Network Security, Machine Learning, Microprocessors, and Microcontrollers.
• Strong research and publication record in top‑tier journals.
• Experience with collaborative and interdisciplinary research (advantage).
