Associate Director – Advisory

About the role

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director to lead complex advisory and transformation engagements across the UAE and the wider Middle East. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, operating‑model design, organisational transformation and implementation, working closely with senior client stakeholders to define future‑state ambition and deliver strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and government leaders, facilitating workshops and translating analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Lead delivery of strategy, transformation and organisational‑improvement engagements, designing capability‑led operating models and governance frameworks.
• Advise organisations responsible for major infrastructure, transport, utilities, energy and development programmes, linking organisational readiness to programme delivery.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, identifying growth opportunities and developing advisory methodologies.
• Lead and develop high‑performing teams, mentor consultants, manage resourcing and ensure high‑quality project outputs.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, transformation or organisational change, preferably within government, infrastructure or related sectors in the Middle East.
• Proven track record of leading complex client engagements from inception to delivery and advising senior executives.
• Strong stakeholder‑management, facilitation and commercial awareness skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation abilities.
