Associate Director – Commercial Assurance

About the role

Provide independent commercial assurance across the D‑Sell portfolio, reviewing and validating business cases, feasibility studies and commercial decisions to ensure robust investment analysis and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review feasibility studies, business cases and project strategies, challenging assumptions and financial models.
• Validate commercial robustness and investment readiness before Investment Committee approvals and prepare independent opinions for executive decision‑making.
• Assess major commercial changes, variation orders and scope changes, supporting gateway and committee governance processes.
• Maintain commercial benchmarks, perform market and cost analyses, and identify risks and value‑enhancement opportunities.
• Lead and develop the Commercial Assurance function, fostering a culture of independent challenge and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 14+ years of experience in development, commercial, investment or development finance, with at least 6 years managing commercial activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics or Engineering; Master’s preferred; CFA, MRICS or equivalent desirable.
