Associate Engineer – Civil (Entry Level)

About the role

The Associate Engineer – Civil will support the study, design and specification of a wide range of transportation and infrastructure projects. Working under direct supervision, the role offers exposure to road, rail, airport, seaport, bridge, drainage, underground utilities, water and wastewater systems, tunnels and geotechnical works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings and specifications for transportation and civil infrastructure systems.
• Conduct hydrology, hydraulics and water‑resource analyses for treatment, distribution and collection projects.
• Assist in geotechnical investigations, tunnel and underground utility design.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and adapt them for minor project‑specific modifications.
• Support larger, more complex assignments as experience grows, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and precedents.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Entry‑level (junior) candidate capable of working under supervision.
• Ability to evaluate and select appropriate engineering methods and criteria.

Required skills

• Knowledge of transportation system design (road, rail, airport, seaport).
• Understanding of bridge, drainage, and underground utility design.
• Experience with hydrology, hydraulics, water treatment and wastewater treatment concepts.
• Familiarity with tunnel and geotechnical design principles.
