Associate Engineer – Civil

About the role

The Associate Engineer – Civil will support the study, design, specification and delivery of a wide range of civil engineering projects, including transportation systems, bridges, and water infrastructure. Working under direct supervision, the role involves applying standard engineering techniques and making minor adaptations as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct study, design, specification and services for transportation systems such as roads, rail, airports and seaports.
• Design and oversee bridges, infrastructure, drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, water resources, tunnels and geotechnical works.
• Support preparation of specifications, reports and documentation for civil engineering works.

Required profile

• Under direct supervision, independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment for minor adaptations.
• Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments, performing conventional plans, investigations and surveys where precedents exist.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design compliance with project standards and regulations.
