About the role
The role involves performing medical coding using ICD‑10‑CM and CPT standards for patient diseases and handling claim submissions efficiently in a regulated healthcare environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform ICD‑10‑CM, CPT and other coding for patient diseases.
- Review, analyse and code diagnostic and procedural information with high accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with DHA policies, JCI accreditation guidelines and established coding standards.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology to correctly code services and diagnoses.
- Handle claims submissions within defined timeframes.
- Achieve daily targets for claims processing.
- Process claims efficiently to avoid rejections.
