Associate – IT Governance (UAE National)

About the role

The Associate – IT Governance will support the Chief Information Officer in ensuring effective IT governance, technology risk oversight, and regulatory compliance in line with Central Bank of the UAE expectations and internal frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the CIO in maintaining the IT governance framework, including policies, standards and procedures.
• Prepare IT governance, risk and compliance reports for management, committees and board‑level forums.
• Maintain documentation, evidence repositories and trackers to support audit and regulatory reviews.
• Track and monitor action items from internal and external audits, regulatory examinations and governance forums.
• Update IT and technology risk registers, documenting risks, controls, owners and remediation status.
• Coordinate with delivery, security and operations teams to gather information for governance reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Compile evidence and draft responses to audit and regulatory requests under CIO guidance.
• Support compliance monitoring with IT policies, CBUAE regulations and internal controls, and assist in third‑party governance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business or a related discipline.
• UAE National (mandatory Emiratisation requirement).
• 3–5 years of experience in IT governance, risk, audit, compliance or control functions.
