Associate Landscape Architect

About the role

ICON is looking for an Associate Landscape Architect to join its growing team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering a diverse portfolio of landscape, public realm, mixed‑use, hospitality and destination projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider region, while supporting senior staff and contributing to digital delivery through BIM and AI‑enabled workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of landscape architecture and public realm projects from concept through construction.
• Maintain design quality and technical excellence at every project stage.
• Develop innovative, sustainable design solutions aligned with client objectives.
• Manage project programmes, resources, budgeting, reporting and day‑to‑day coordination.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, stakeholders and authorities.
• Lead project meetings, design reviews, workshops and presentations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, planning, BIM and project management.
• Mentor junior Landscape Architects, graduates and BIM professionals.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
• Proven track record delivering public realm, mixed‑use, hospitality, residential, infrastructure and master‑planning projects.
• Strong design, technical and project‑management capabilities.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing client relationships.
• Knowledge of UAE and GCC planning processes and authority requirements.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions‑focused approach.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and MicroStation.
• Rhino (Grasshopper), SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape or D5 Render.
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools.
• Experience working in BIM‑enabled environments.
