Associate Professor – Medical Sciences

About the role

Khalifa University is seeking an Associate Professor in Medical Sciences to strengthen its research and teaching portfolio. The successful candidate will lead innovative projects in areas such as Healthy Aging, Reproductive Health, and Nutritional Medicine while delivering high‑quality undergraduate and graduate instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an independent research program with translational and clinical relevance.
• Publish findings in high‑impact, peer‑reviewed journals and secure external funding.
• Teach and supervise undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. courses and students.
• Contribute to curriculum design, accreditation processes, and program quality assurance.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and professional societies.

Required profile

• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years of post‑doctoral or academic experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the target areas (Healthy Aging, Reproductive Health, Nutritional Medicine).
• Strong publication record in international journals.
• Evidence of research independence or high potential to build a competitive program.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
