Associate Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Vice President to act as a strategic finance partner for Retail Banking leaders. You will provide financial insights, drive performance improvement and support key business decisions across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Retail Banking leaders, delivering financial analysis, commentary and performance reviews.
• Lead monthly accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes for the Retail Banking franchise.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate business scenarios and product profitability.
• Prepare profit‑and‑loss, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow statements and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Support new product launches with viability assessments and impact analysis.
• Monitor and report on financial and non‑financial KPIs, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Mentor and develop the FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; CMA, CPA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance business‑partnering experience in banking, preferably Retail Banking.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience working in the UAE market is a plus.
• Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP and financial management systems.
• Financial modeling software expertise.
• Strong financial reporting capabilities.
