ATC Technician – Automatic Train Control Maintenance

About the role

KEOLIS is seeking an ATC Technician to join its Dubai Metro team. You will provide engineering and maintenance services for the Automatic Train Control (ATC) system, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the network.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the ATC Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance on system management, vehicle control, central control, on‑board and lineside equipment.
• Install, service and repair signalling and train control hardware in control centres, stations, depots and along the track.
• Use hand, mechanical, electrical and electronic tools, following technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Replace faulty signalling components and coordinate repairs with the electronics workshop.
• Maintain accurate records in a computerized maintenance management system.
• Support the implementation of complex systems or new projects and perform shift and emergency duties as required.

Required profile

• IRSE licence and certification to work on railway signalling equipment.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a qualified electrical or mechanical technician in railway or similar environments.
• Good eyesight and normal colour vision.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of signalling principles, fixed‑block and moving‑block systems.
• Familiarity with software‑based interlocking devices, point machines, induction and docking loops, cab signalling displays, on‑board and wayside equipment.
• Ability to operate and calibrate electronic test equipment and PCs for maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency with a computerized maintenance management system.
