Audiologist

About the role

The Audiologist will provide comprehensive audiometric screening, diagnostic, and rehabilitative services for patients with hearing loss and balance disorders at Mediclinic City Hospital. The role involves assessing patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, and delivering personalized audiology care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret behavioural, electroacoustic, and electro‑physiologic assessments of hearing, balance, and neural function, and produce written reports.
• Measure and interpret sensory and motor‑evoked potentials; perform electromyography and other electro‑diagnostic tests for intra‑operative neurophysiologic monitoring.
• Evaluate candidacy for cochlear implants and other implantable devices, provide fitting, programming, and post‑implant rehabilitation.
• Assess, fit, and program hearing aids and assistive listening devices, offering counselling to patients and families.
• Perform newborn, pediatric, and adult hearing screenings.
• Deliver audiology rehabilitation services, including speech reading, communication management, language development, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Audiology or a combined Master’s in Audiology and Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• At least 2 years of post‑graduate clinical experience in audiology.
