Audit & Assurance Manager – Banking (Dubai)

About the role

Deloitte Middle East is seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to lead banking audit engagements in Dubai. You will work with a diverse client base, applying professional skepticism and delivering high‑quality audit outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders while providing constructive challenge on engagement issues.
• Review transaction flows and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle to assess the audit approach.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, reducing the need for senior manager escalation.
• Apply professional skepticism to evaluate fraud risks and governance communications.
• Identify opportunities to add value and integrate specialist expertise into the audit team.
• Participate in group risk assessment and coordinate work with component auditors.
• Prepare and review referral instructions and evaluate component auditor responses.
• Conduct regular file checks throughout the audit to ensure quality and compliance.

Required profile

• Manager‑level experience in audit and assurance, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess control environments quickly.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and component auditors.
• Demonstrated professional skepticism and risk‑based thinking.
