Audit & Assurance Manager (UAE)

About the role

This position is a Manager role within Deloitte's Audit & Assurance practice in the United Arab Emirates. The manager will lead audit engagements, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility by addressing multiple stakeholder needs and providing constructive challenge on engagement issues.
• Review documentation of transaction flows and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle to assess the audit approach and control environment.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, applying professional scepticism to consider fraud risks and potential misstatements.
• Identify opportunities to add value, leverage expertise across the firm, and integrate specialists as needed.
• Participate in group risk assessment scoping and prepare clear referral instructions for component auditors.
• Run file checks throughout the audit, ensure all points are cleared, and select appropriate file structures for each engagement.
• Engage early with scheduling, communicate expectations and deadlines to the engagement team, and coordinate with the entity’s management.
