Audit Manager – Internal Audit (UAE)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to lead internal audit activities across operational, financial and compliance functions. The role reports directly to the Director and supports the organization in strengthening its control environment while providing independent assurance on risk management and operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual risk‑based internal audit plan.
• Lead and manage audit assignments covering customs operations, logistics and other business functions.
• Evaluate internal controls, governance processes and risk‑management practices.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with practical recommendations for senior management.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions and follow up on findings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and internal procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as required.
• Mentor and develop audit team members, promoting best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CPA or CFA highly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in internal audit, risk management or compliance.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 firm and/or auditing government entities, customs operations or regulated industries is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with high integrity.
