Audit Specialist – Operations & Support Functions (Emiratized)

About the role

The Specialist will support the internal audit function by assessing Operations & Support Functions across the FAB Group. The role requires a solid understanding of banking processes, risk management and regulatory requirements in the UAE and other jurisdictions where FAB operates.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audits of Operations & Support Functions across the UAE and international subsidiaries.
• Ensure audit work is completed on schedule and report any potential delays to the Head of Audit.
• Prepare audit worksheets, draft issues and collaborate with unit management to develop Management Action Plans.
• Maintain the audit universe and risk assessments for all relevant process streams.
• Monitor financial performance versus budgets and report variances.
• Provide consultancy on governance, risk and control improvements and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in an international bank or Big‑4 firm, preferably in internal audit.
• Working knowledge of Operations & Support Functions processes, associated risks and central bank regulations.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
