Audit Specialist – Operations & Support Functions (Emiratized)

About the role

We are looking for an Emiratized Audit Specialist to join the Internal Audit team of First Abu Dhabi Bank. The role focuses on auditing Operations and Support Functions across the FAB Group, both locally and internationally, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audits of Operations & Support Functions in the UAE and across FAB’s international network, following the Annual Audit Plan.
• Evaluate governance, risk management and control processes, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Prepare audit workpapers, draft issues, and support the development of Management Action Plans.
• Monitor financial performance versus budgets and report variances to management.
• Maintain the audit universe for Operations & Support Functions and coordinate coverage with other audit teams.
• Provide consultancy to unit managers on risk and control matters and follow up on remediation actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in an international bank or a Big 4 firm; internal audit experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Operations & Support Functions processes, associated risks, and relevant banking regulations.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.
