Audit & Tax Specialist

About the role

WhizzHR is hiring an Audit & Tax Specialist for a client in the fintech sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT regulations and corporate tax requirements, and brings meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Prepare and file VAT returns for clients in compliance with UAE VAT law.
• Assist clients with VAT registration and guide them on VAT matters.
• Handle UAE corporate tax matters, including computations and filings.
• Carry out internal compliance reviews and recommend process improvements.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting clients.
• Work with clients and internal teams to resolve audit findings and compliance issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CA Inter, CA Final or ACCA qualification preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in audit, tax or compliance roles in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT registration and filing, and corporate tax.
• Experience with audit methodologies and financial reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to manage several projects and deadlines.

Required skills

• MS Office Suite and accounting software.
• Tally or ERP software such as Zoho, QuickBooks or ERPNext.
