Auditor – Wealth & Retail Banking (WRB) – UAE Nationals

About the role

Standard Chartered’s Group Internal Audit (GIA) is looking for a skilled Auditor to support the Wealth & Retail Banking (WRB) portfolio. You will deliver risk‑based audits, use data‑driven techniques, and help strengthen the bank’s risk and control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of risk assessments and audit plans, identifying emerging risks and control weaknesses.
• Deliver audit engagements in line with GIA methodology, conduct fieldwork, draft findings and prepare audit reports.
• Monitor audit issues and management action plans through to closure, validating remediation and escalating high‑risk matters.
• Perform continuous monitoring, build constructive stakeholder relationships while maintaining independence.
• Apply data analytics and visualisation to enhance risk identification, testing coverage and audit efficiency.
• Support regulatory reviews, external audit engagements and contribute to audit committee papers.
• Demonstrate professional scepticism, integrity and uphold the Group’s values and code of conduct.
• Contribute to innovation, methodology enhancements and digital transformation initiatives within the audit function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Systems, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, CAMS, FRM or other relevant audit, risk or compliance qualifications; membership of a recognised professional body is advantageous.
