AutoCAD Draftsman – Railway

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsman to support a major railway project in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will produce accurate 2‑D drawings, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure all documentation meets project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and modify detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings based on engineering designs, specifications, and site conditions.
• Produce shop drawings, construction drawings, IFC drawings, as‑built drawings, and detailed layouts.
• Coordinate drawing sets with civil, structural, MEP, and other railway disciplines.
• Incorporate comments from engineers, consultants, and project teams while maintaining revision control.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and approved designs.
• Maintain drawing records and assist engineers with technical documentation.
• Support site teams by updating drawings to reflect actual field conditions.
• Prepare drawing packages for submission and approval.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, preferably on railway, metro, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of drawing standards, layer management, dimensions, and revision control.
