AutoCAD Draughtsman

About the role

Al Tayer Stocks is looking for a draughtsman to prepare AutoCAD drawings from the project briefs supplied by principals, clients and consultants. The role covers producing plans, sections, details, specifications and schedules, and turning client or architect sketches into working drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare AutoCAD plans, sections, details, specifications and schedules on time, incorporating client or consultant changes to secure approval
• Survey the site and prepare as-built drawings, explaining their details so that the drawings are accurate and complete for timely project execution
• Liaise with architects, project managers and quantity surveyors so they understand the design documents and can receive supporting design information when needed
• Follow established computer protocols and formats, coordinating with team members for consistent drawing layout, style and presentation
• Check that all deliverables are accurate and meet project requirements, including variations and amendments
• Review sketches and drawings provided by the client or in-house architect and develop them from concept to working drawings

Required profile

• Diploma in Architecture
• 3 to 5 years of experience operating AutoCAD, preferably on construction or interior fit-out projects
