Automotive Workshop Operations Manager

About the role

Apt Resources is looking for an experienced Automotive Workshop Operations Manager to keep the workshop running smoothly and efficiently. The role covers leading the technical team, coordinating repair jobs, ensuring quality workmanship and timely vehicle delivery, and keeping the workshop organized even when busy.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily workshop operations, from vehicle inspections and diagnostics to repairs and maintenance
• Lead technicians and mechanics, assign jobs and set priorities
• Plan repair schedules and balance workloads to meet deadlines and delivery commitments
• Help the team troubleshoot challenging mechanical and electrical issues
• Check work progress and quality before vehicles are returned to customers
• Spot delays and workflow issues early and resolve them practically
• Keep customers and internal teams informed on progress, findings, costs and expected completion dates
• Review job orders, repair estimates and parts requirements; coordinate with suppliers and parts teams
• Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment and machinery, and keep service records and reports accurate
• Improve turnaround times, productivity and efficiency, and coach team members
• Investigate recurring repair issues and monitor performance with management

Required profile

• Previous experience managing or supervising an automotive workshop or service centre
• Diploma or degree in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Must be based in the UAE and available for an in-person interview in Dubai

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, mechanical and electrical systems, servicing and repair procedures
• Workshop scheduling, spare parts coordination, equipment maintenance and cost control
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills
