AV Technician

About the role

The AV Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio‑visual, projection, lighting and conferencing equipment for events at the Sheraton hotel in Sharjah. The role ensures all equipment functions smoothly, supports guests during events, and follows safety and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting and conferencing equipment for banquet and meeting rooms.
• Inspect and label equipment, repair or clean as needed, and ensure all wiring is safely taped and dressed.
• Verify equipment deliveries against Banquet Event Orders and communicate any changes to the manager.
• Assist guests with equipment usage, promote additional AV services, and monitor equipment performance during events.
• Break down and secure equipment after use, following Marriott Visual Productions SOPs and safety policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience working with AV, projection, lighting or conferencing systems.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lb and perform basic cable management.
