AV Technician

About the role

Viya, part of wasl Hospitality & Leisure, is looking for an AV Technician in its Facilities Maintenance department in Dubai. The role reports to the Assistant Facilities Manager / Facilities Engineer and supervises technical assistants and helpers. It covers the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electronic, electrical and general facility systems so that venues run smoothly and guests receive a safe, high-quality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair games equipment, AV systems, lighting and electrical systems, as well as venue facilities, fixtures and ancillary equipment
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor system operation and respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Support the installation and setup of new equipment and event-related technical requirements
• Perform minor repairs such as carpentry, painting and fixture work
• Troubleshoot and repair issues across buildings and outdoor areas, operate maintenance equipment and keep work areas clean and safe
• Monitor spare parts, tools and maintenance supplies, prepare material requisitions and control inventory use within budget
• Communicate with team members and guests and support colleagues across departments
• Take part in evening functions and other activities supporting the venue's culture
• Check health, safety, hygiene and food safety compliance, report faults to the Executive Chef and follow the company's service targets
• Follow information security policies, attend awareness sessions and report any security incidents to the IT Service Desk
