About the role

The role leads the development and implementation of advanced environmental sustainability strategies for Dubai’s aviation sector. It supports the city’s ambition to become a global leader in sustainable aviation by guiding green‑technology adoption, carbon‑reduction initiatives, and long‑term environmental planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement aviation environmental sustainability strategies and green‑transition frameworks aligned with ICAO and international standards.
• Oversee environmental impact assessments, sustainability studies, and sector‑wide performance evaluations.
• Drive initiatives for carbon reduction, noise mitigation, and sustainable aviation growth.
• Lead joint programs with local and federal authorities to reduce aviation‑related impacts.
• Represent Dubai in ICAO committees, international forums, and global sustainability platforms.
• Prepare the annual aviation environmental compliance report, covering emissions, noise and KPI metrics.
• Provide expert guidance on sustainable aviation practices, green technologies and environmental innovation.
• Design and deliver environmental awareness, training and capacity‑building programmes.
• Support CORSIA‑related reporting and ensure alignment with ICAO frameworks.
• Develop mandatory environmental policy manuals for aircraft, drone operators and airports.
• Conduct advanced research, benchmarking and scenario analysis for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years (144 months) of experience in aviation environmental sustainability or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of ICAO environmental standards, CORSIA reporting and international sustainability requirements.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑stakeholder projects and influence policy at national and international levels.
• Strong analytical skills for impact assessments, benchmarking and scenario analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement, training and representation in global forums.
