AVM Supervisor – Independent Project Assurance

About the role

The AVM Supervisor is a key member of an independent Project Management Services team, responsible for supervising and assuring a contractor’s delivery of a 2nd‑generation Automatic Vehicle Management system for Abu Dhabi’s bus network. The role involves reviewing, inspecting and reporting on design, implementation, testing and go‑live readiness to provide the client with an evidence‑based basis for acceptance decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design assurance: review AVM design, on‑board architecture, OCC/Backup OCC, traffic management centre and integration interfaces.
• Implementation supervision: supervise fit‑ment of on‑board AVM and APC equipment, verify installation quality and oversee OCC/Backup OCC/TMC deployment.
• Testing, commissioning and go‑live: verify test coverage across FAT, SIT, SAT and UAT, witness test events and support hyper‑care monitoring.
• Reporting and governance: issue discipline‑specific review comments, contribute to progress reporting, RAID and interface registers, and escalate critical risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of international or local direct AVM/CAD‑AVL experience.
• Proven experience delivering or assuring vehicle‑tracking/fleet‑management systems, with at least one reference project.
• Fluent business English (written and spoken) for reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to provide project‑specific CV, employment references and project sheets for client approval.
