AVP, Business Unit Control

About the role

The AVP Business Unit Control will join the Global Markets Business Finance team within First Abu Dhabi Bank. The role supports Global Markets and Group Treasury, providing financial reporting, analysis and control of P&L and balance sheet. It ensures compliance with group policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Follow departmental policies and standard operating procedures to maintain a controlled environment.
• Provide day‑to‑day financial reporting and analysis for Global Markets, including P&L decomposition, variance analysis and commentary.
• Perform daily general‑ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate revenue reporting from source systems (e.g., Murex) into Oracle.
• Act as finance business partner and trusted advisor to Front Office, Market Risk, Treasury and other stakeholders.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities in processes, systems and controls.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a product control or business unit control function.
• Proven experience developing financial and management information reporting, including automation of processes.
• Technical knowledge of pricing and accounting for financial products, such as fixed income instruments.
