AVP Compliance (Emiratized) – Banking

About the role

The Compliance Assurance Unit is responsible for verifying that the Group complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies. As an AVP, you will develop and execute a risk‑based compliance testing plan across the Bank’s Group, ensuring controls are effective and reporting material non‑compliance to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform compliance testing reviews within the Group, including control design assessment and operational effectiveness testing.
• Support the development of the annual UAE testing plan, schedules, and working papers.
• Prepare testing reports and track remediation activities of business units.
• Upload identified issues to the compliance issue management system and assist team members with ad‑hoc tasks.
• Contribute to refining testing methodologies and share best practices with local and global colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Banking, Finance or related field; compliance or risk certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a reputable bank or audit firm, with at least 2 years in compliance monitoring/testing.
• Experience in compliance assurance, issue tracking and preparing remediation reports.
