AVP HR Business Partner (Emiratized Role)

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is hiring an AVP HR Business Partner in Abu Dhabi, an emiratized role. The role works in partnership with n-2 and n-3 roles by understanding their HR requirements and delivering timely HR support, so that people plans and solutions align with the Group's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Cascade the functional strategy into department business plans and lead talent development, working with technical experts to build the right talent pool.
• Manage assigned departments by setting individual objectives, managing performance and coaching managers on performance management and employee relations.
• Advise and coach n-2 and n-3 roles on HR strategies and people plans, and support all employees on HR policies and current legislation and trends.
• Prepare and recommend the department budget, monitor financial performance and implement departmental policies, procedures and controls.
• Influence the scoping and implementation of organisational restructures and advise on conflicts of interest, gifts, entertainments and outside business interests.
• Develop action plans for the development, succession and retention of high-potential individuals and Emiratis, and lead continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting and act within the Group's governance framework and decision-making authority.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• 6 years' relevant experience in the banking sector, including at least 2 years in similar HR consultancy positions with progressively greater managerial responsibility.
• A Master's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred.
