AVP, Planning and Strategic Initiatives

About the role

The role holder is responsible for leading Distribution & Sales’ strategic planning initiatives and providing performance support to Distribution & Sales teams at First Abu Dhabi Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Support, manage and deliver the Branch Transformation Plan in line with Distribution & Sales BEST Strategy and Consumer Banking Strategy.
• Lead optimisation initiatives to reduce costs and streamline the business aligned to Consumer Banking vision.
• Work with key stakeholders to evolve the branch network from transaction‑focused to digital and advisory‑focused.
• Develop and support transformation projects, channel strategies and change plans for Distribution & Sales, including Employee Banking.
• Lead the overall annual planning process, delivering tools such as target allocation, balanced scorecards, incentives and campaigns.
• Own and embed the FABWay Performance Framework across all channels to support business growth.
• Deliver the Business Knowledge plan and upskill front‑line teams through training, clinics, guides, campaign tools and huddles.
• Drive the strategic “Be Your Best” initiative, colleague engagement, communications framework, business reviews and stakeholder support activities.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in banking.
• At least 5 years in a similar strategic planning or transformation role.
• Experience in planning, transformation, stakeholder management, frontline sales and colleague engagement.
• Preferred sales diploma or certification.
