Azure Consultant L2 – Azure Infrastructure Design & Support

About the role

The Azure Consultant (L2) designs, deploys and supports Azure infrastructure for enterprise and public‑sector customers across the UAE. The role handles L2 escalations under managed services contracts and delivers project work such as migrations, landing zones and hardening.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Azure IaaS and PaaS services including VMs, VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN/ExpressRoute, storage, App Services and Azure SQL.
• Build and maintain Azure landing zones aligned to the Cloud Adoption Framework (management groups, subscriptions, RBAC, policies, tagging).
• Execute on‑premises to Azure migrations using Azure Migrate, ASR and database migration tools.
• Manage identity integration with Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect, Conditional Access, PIM and managed identities.
• Configure backup, disaster recovery and monitoring with Azure Backup, Site Recovery, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Resolve L2 incidents and service requests within SLAs and escalate to L3 when needed.
• Apply security baselines using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and optimise Azure consumption and cost.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Azure CLI and ARM/Bicep or Terraform templates.
• Prepare technical documentation such as low‑level designs, runbooks and handover documents.
• Support presales activities with effort estimates, solution inputs and proof‑of‑concept builds.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on Azure infrastructure experience, including at least 2 years in a customer‑facing consulting or managed services role.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, compute, storage and identity.
• Practical experience delivering at least one end‑to‑end migration or landing zone deployment.
• Certifications: required AZ‑104; preferred AZ‑305, AZ‑500 or AZ‑700.

• ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice).
