B2 Aircraft Engineer - Line Maintenance

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for experienced and certifying B2 Aircraft Engineers to join its Line Maintenance team. The engineer performs and certifies maintenance activities in line with Etihad's authorization policy and leads and guides Aircraft Technicians so that all maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Certify own work and the work of others after verifying that tasks were done according to approved data and within the scope of authorization.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time, in line with company procedures.
• Carry out maintenance in compliance with company, health and safety and airport regulations.
• Prepare materials, parts, tools, equipment and documentation at the start of each shift.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Guide and assist Technicians in safe and effective working practices.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, serviceable and safe.
• Interact professionally with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
• Take part in training and development to improve technical capability.
• Follow the Safety & Quality Management Manual (SQMM) and encourage a culture of safety and positive reporting.
• Inspect Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and company vehicles as required, completing the relevant checklists and forms.

Required profile

• High School Leaving Certificate, Diploma, University or College degree.
• Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA / EASA Part-66 / ICAO Type convertible to GCAA).
• At least 7-10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of overall certifying experience in a Line Maintenance environment.
• At least 3 years of certifying experience on at least 2 of Etihad's aircraft type ratings (Level 3): Airbus A320/A330neo/A350/A380 or Boeing 777/787, with valid company authorization.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork mindset, with a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
