Backend Software Engineer (PHP)

About the role

Join SellAnyCar’s product‑led team as a Backend Software Engineer. You will work in an agile environment building scalable web applications that power the future of automotive services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and launch new features.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and refactoring to continuously improve the codebase.
• Optimize applications through audits, caching, and architectural changes.
• Define feature requirements, assist in sprint planning, and showcase work to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on projects.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• PHP (expert level) and/or Node.js.
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux command line.
