Banking & Finance Associate (4–7 PQE) – Dubai

About the role

Join a leading international law firm in Dubai as a Banking & Finance Associate, working closely with senior partners on a diverse portfolio of banking and finance matters across the UAE and the wider Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Advise lenders and borrowers on corporate lending, real estate finance, leveraged and acquisition finance.
• Draft, review and negotiate finance documentation such as facility agreements, security packages and inter‑creditor arrangements.
• Support complex, often cross‑border transactions involving regional and international banks, financial institutions, sponsors and corporates.
• Manage transaction work‑streams, coordinate with local counsel and assist with deal execution and closings.
• Contribute to the growth of the finance practice and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• 4–7 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in banking and finance at a top‑tier or well‑regarded international firm.
• Strong exposure to corporate lending; additional experience in real estate, leveraged or acquisition finance is highly advantageous.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to handle matters autonomously.
• Commercially minded, collaborative and comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑calibre environment.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred or genuine interest in relocating to Dubai.
