Banking & Restructuring Associate / Senior Associate Lawyer – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Banking & Restructuring Associate or Senior Associate to join the Dubai office of an international law firm. The successful candidate will work closely with senior partners on a diverse portfolio of transactional banking, finance and restructuring matters across the UAE and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Advise financial institutions, corporates and government‑related entities on corporate lending, real‑estate finance and acquisition finance, both conventional and Sharia‑compliant.
• Support restructuring and insolvency engagements, including distressed‑debt situations, consensual restructurings and formal insolvency processes.
• Draft and negotiate loan documentation, security agreements and restructuring agreements.
• Liaise with lenders and borrowers on private credit matters and cross‑border transactions.

Required profile

• English or Common Law qualified solicitor with solid experience at a Legal 500‑ranked firm in the Middle East or the UK.
• Demonstrated transactional banking experience and exposure to restructuring or distressed‑debt work.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to manage complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters.

Required skills

• Expertise in corporate lending, real‑estate finance and acquisition finance.
• Knowledge of Sharia‑compliant financing structures.
• Understanding of restructuring, insolvency and distressed‑debt principles.
