About the role

The Banquet & Function Captain – Wet Deck ensures seamless service delivery for group functions, from coordinating with chefs and stewards to presenting checks for payment. This role maintains the presentation standards of banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks while guaranteeing guest satisfaction throughout the event.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate service needs and special dietary requirements to kitchen staff.
• Prepare and present group function checks to contacts for payment.
• Set tables and arrange centerpieces according to event type and service standards.
• Inspect cleanliness and presentation of china, glassware, and silver before use.
• Monitor banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee break areas to ensure readiness for service.
• Check in with guests during events to confirm satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.
• Lift, move, and place objects up to 25 lb without assistance; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant banquet or food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
