Banquet Manager

About the role

As Banquet Manager, you will liaise between multiple departments to ensure the success of every group function and model exceptional service and leadership among your team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Banquet team, ensuring service standards are followed.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Train supervisors and provide coaching, including performance evaluations.
• Support recruitment of Banquet team members.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, and Conference Services to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budget, scheduling, and payroll support.
• Conduct regular departmental meetings and ensure safety and sanitation policies are followed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in Food & Beverage, Banquet, Catering or Conference Services, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a banquet or events environment.
• College degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality or related field preferred.
• Food handler and responsible alcohol service certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Experience with hotel Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders and function sheets.
• Knowledge of banquet service styles, event setups, and food & beverage operations.
