Barista

About the role

Al Tayer Insignia, the hospitality arm of Al Tayer Group, is looking for a barista in Abu Dhabi. The role provides an exceptional customer experience in a professional and efficient way to all guests, following brand guidelines and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver positive, professional service that exceeds guest expectations
• Take and process customer orders accurately and on time
• Follow the sequence of service standards set by brand guidelines
• Prepare beverages according to set standards and recipes
• Know all menu items well enough to describe and recommend them, with in-depth knowledge of coffee and its preparation
• Maintain food and beverage quality and consistency, and keep stock levels optimal
• Keep the area clean and hygienic, and follow operational procedures and municipal guidelines
• Complete administration accurately and on time, including customer database cards
• Handle cash and other authorised payments, issue receipts and reconcile them with sales figures
• Carry out additional tasks as instructed by management

Required profile

• No experience required; an interest in the hospitality industry is essential
• A certification in Food and Beverage or Catering is an advantage
