Barista – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join the coffee service at SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences, a 5‑star luxury property in Downtown Dubai. The role involves preparing high‑quality coffee beverages, serving pastries, and delivering excellent guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks (espresso, latte, cappuccino) following standard recipes and brewing techniques.
• Welcome guests, inform them about specials, take orders, handle payments, and promote coffee products and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of coffee beans, brewing equipment, pastries and ensure the coffee bar is well‑stocked.
• Keep equipment in good working order by performing routine cleaning, preventive maintenance and reporting any breakdowns.
• Uphold health, safety and sanitation standards, including cleaning the dining area and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Generate revenue by attracting new customers and suggesting additional services.
• Maintain the visual appearance of the coffee bar and store.
• Continuously learn brewing methods and beverage blends to improve product quality.

Required profile

• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Professional appearance and grooming at all times.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with problem‑resolution ability.
• Basic food‑and‑beverage product knowledge and attention to detail.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
