About the role

Join the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah team as a Barista, delivering high‑quality coffee experiences to hotel guests in a luxury hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of coffee beverages—including espresso, cappuccino, latte and specialty drinks—according to recipes and quality standards.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service, taking orders accurately, making recommendations and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, milk frothers and other coffee‑making equipment safely and hygienically.
• Handle cash and electronic payments, process transactions promptly and keep the register area organized and secure.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee preparation area in line with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee and supplies, restock as needed and communicate requirements to management.
• Collaborate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure seamless service.
• Suggest additional menu items or promotions to increase sales.

Required profile

• Understanding of coffee varieties, brewing methods and the hotel’s coffee menu.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards applicable to food and beverage service.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Effective time‑management and multitasking skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating coffee‑making equipment (espresso machines, grinders, milk frothers).
• Skill in steaming and frothing milk and creating latte art.
• Cash handling and point‑of‑sale transaction processing.
