BCM Consultant (IT Background) - Abu Dhabi

About the role

Ventures Middle East (VME), an international management consulting company founded in 2002 and active across the GCC and the wider MENA region, is looking for a Business Continuity Management (BCM) consultant in Abu Dhabi. The role covers the development, implementation and maintenance of the organization's BCM framework, including plans, risk assessments, training and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the BCM framework, keeping it aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, and regularly reviewing and updating policies, procedures and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify threats and impacts to operations, and work with departments to map critical business functions.
• Use and customize BCM solutions such as Clearview and Castellan, and develop and maintain business continuity plans (BCPs) and disaster recovery plans (DRPs).
• Coordinate with IT and other departments on recovery strategies, and act as a key member of the incident response team during disruptions.
• Deliver BCM training and awareness programmes, run regular testing and exercises of BCPs and DRPs, and evaluate plan effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Monitor BCM performance metrics and coordinate response activities and communication to ensure swift recovery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Business Continuity Management.
• In-depth knowledge of BCM frameworks and standards such as ISO 22301.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in BCM (e.g. CBCI) is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BCM solutions such as Clearview and Castellan.
• Knowledge of ISO 22301.
