Beach Lifeguard – Luxury Resort

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort is seeking a qualified Beach Lifeguard to ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests using the resort’s beach and swimming areas. You will continuously monitor water conditions, enforce safety procedures, and respond promptly to emergencies while delivering a friendly guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor guests in designated sea swimming and beach areas, ensuring compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a zero‑drowning standard by continuously assessing sea conditions, tides, weather, currents and other potential risks.
• Perform sea‑water rescues and provide first aid, CPR, AED, and spinal management as required.
• Inspect beach area and rescue equipment regularly to ensure safety, accessibility and proper maintenance.
• Operate, maintain and store all rescue and emergency equipment correctly.
• Report hazards, maintenance issues, accidents and safety concerns immediately, adhering to hotel health, safety and emergency procedures.
• Provide professional and friendly assistance to guests, promoting safe swimming practices.

Required profile

• Valid and active Beach Lifeguard qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hotel, resort or beach environment.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Physically fit, strong swimmer, alert and able to respond quickly in emergencies.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
