BIM Engineer

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Engineer to lead the BIM governance across a major construction programme in Dubai. You will ensure that all digital models and data meet client requirements and support the delivery of high‑quality built assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project BIM Protocol and BIM Execution Plan.
• Coordinate BIM collaboration procedures and monitor shared data, grids, levels and project coordinates.
• Conduct model reviews, clash detection and quality control to guarantee accurate, fit‑for‑purpose information.
• Liaise with designers, consultants, contractors and the client to align BIM processes and standards.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams in applying BIM standards, ISO 19650 requirements and documentation.
• Support the creation of 2‑D drawings from 3‑D models and oversee steel and concrete structure modeling.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in building design and construction, with at least 3 years in a BIM‑focused role.
• Proven experience delivering BIM on large construction programmes in a consultant capacity.
• Strong communication skills for client and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Fluency in English.
